DIY Outdoor Dining Table

We’ve been wanting an outdoor table for our backyard for awhile now, so I finally built one just in time for spring! It’s made of cedar, with a matching bench and also individual cube stools that I’m obsessed with.

It’s really amazing how wonderful it is to dine outdoors. Check out my DIY video above to see the whole process.

And quick note that I have build plans with a cut list, material list and assembly instructions if you are interested in building any part of this project yourself!

For seating on one side, I built a bench that matches the table. Benches are great. They’re easy to build, they maximize your seating space, they don’t break the visual flow (as chairs do with seat backs), and they balance out the heaviness of a large table.

For seating on the other side, I wanted to do something different and ended up designing and building these amazing Cube Stools. And as I mentioned, I’m kind of obsessed.

They’re kind of like individual benches with similar benefits. I really love how they look and I love how mobile they are. I can see us moving one to use as a impromptu side table or extra seating near our Outdoor Lounge Chairs, or pulling one up to the stock tank pool for similar reasons…
